Just north of Mexico…in Mecca for tacos.

Just north of Mexico…in Mecca for tacos.

After watching an epic sunrise in Cholla Cactus Garden and completing a 7 mile hike on the Lost Palms Oasis Trail, we left Joshua Tree National Park for the afternoon. I was sad to know this was our last day at Joshua Tree National Park. I was surprised how much I enjoyed Joshua Tree National Park from sunrise to sunset, along with the incredible stargazing. I think tied with the natural beauty, was the adventure that came within the park….

You stay classy with your tacos, San Diego.

You stay classy with your tacos, San Diego.

About a month ago, I took on my first out of three planned out west trips for 2022. I went with my middle school friend, Deepali, to Joshua Tree and Death Valley National Parks. We flew into San Diego and out of Las Vegas. I was so excited for our fun-filled itinerary with room for spontaneity. Deepali has never been to San Diego, so that is why we chose to fly into San Diego over Los Angeles. I also prefer…

The Golden Gate to my heart are tacos in San Francisco.

The Golden Gate to my heart are tacos in San Francisco.

In the beginning of July, I made my way back to the West Coast to explore 4 National Parks, 1 National Forest, and spend (not enough) time in San Francisco, California and Bend, Oregon. Over the course of two weeks, I hiked 76 miles, kayaked 5 miles, white water rafted 3 miles, and mountain biked over 20 miles. Even though I was a walking zombie by the end of the two week period, I would take an action-packed trip like…

West Coast Taco Tour 2019 Continued…

After spending time in Northern California and South Tahoe with my college friends, I moved onto the second half of my vacation in Southern California. I took a flight from Reno to Los Angeles and then a shuttle an hour and a half up the coast from LA to Ventura. Here, I spent six wonderful days with my Ultimate Frisbee friend Holly. Holly took me in under her wing (and her new condo), and graciously showed me around the local…

West Coast Taco Tour 2019

West Coast Taco Tour 2019

In the beginning of November I took a rather spontaneous trip for someone like me who plans quite a bit. Less than two weeks after the decision to travel, I made my way to the West Coast for a 12 day trip to see both college and Ultimate Frisbee friends and to eat some West Coast tacos. Even though the first city I visited during my trip was San Francisco, my first taco stop on the West Coast Taco Tour…

Biking and Tacos from Fiesta Grill Up there with my love for tacos, is my love for cycling.  On my last full day at Huntington Beach, I thought it would be a good day to rent a bike and go on and adventure on the Huntington Beach Bike Trail for a half day and maybe find a taco stop along the way. Towards the end of my 17 mile bike ride on a cruiser, I was hungry and ready for some…

California Tacos Round 3 and 4

More Tacos Mid-Trip at Sancho’s! On Monday during the Cali trip, my girlfriends and I spent another day at the beach, followed by paddle boarding in a harbor near Long Beach.  I was so happy to finally try paddle boarding and I was even more happy when I successfully finished the hour ride without falling into the water.   After we went paddle boarding, we were ready for some tacos for dinner. Hannah recommended Sancho’s Tacos. It was right on the…

California Tacos Round 1 and 2

California Here I Come (and went) So far this year, I have been lucky enough to take two trips to Southern California to see one of my best friends from college, Hannah.  I met her along with Julia (From the Philly taco blogs), my freshman year of college.  For the past 8 years I’ve known Hannah, she always said she could see herself living out West and she made it happen in October of 2015.  I am very proud of…
